DOOM: A Let's Play Retrospective

I was lucky enough to be able to pre-order a copy of the upcoming Doom! Crazy excited about this game. I remember playing the original Doom at a friend's house way back in like 1996 or something, and it amazed me despite already having aged quite a bit. The gameplay was rock solid, the levels kicked ass, everything about it was just right. The very next year I spotted Doom 64 and bought it almost immediately. Then came Doom 3, the first Doom game I bought the day it came out. I even participated in the Doom 3 speed-running community for awhile, which was a lot of fun. The point is, I have literally never had a bad Doom experience. I know a lot of people would disagree, but I love it above and beyond the Quake series even (although I am playing through Quake 4 right now and it's awesome). So, here's why I'm going on about id's genius franchise today: in anticipation for the new Doom, I want to do a Let's Play for every Doom game I have (1, 2, 3, and 64). Hell, I'll even watch the movie again!
I have to admit that although I love the Doom franchise as much as a person possibly can...I have only ever beaten Doom 64. It's no coincidence that it's my favorite in the series, too. So, I want to remedy that by playing through as much Doom as I've got and not stopping till those demonic beasts are completely conquered. I will be using the Doom 3 BFG Edition for Doom 1, 2, and 3. I will also play through Final Doom and Master Levels for Doom II, as well as my beloved Doom 64 (the TC version for PC). This will also hopefully provide some fun content the break up all the Abby's Song updates. I'm really fired up about this, so I think I'll start tackling Doom 1 tonight! Peace!
