Guest Vocals/Guitars on Someone In Existence's EP

posted Feb 26, 2016, 11:04 PM by oneclipleft

A buddy of mine on Youtube put together an interesting metal EP which is a little like Linkin Park, a little like Adema, and a little heavier than both. He's got an admirable heavy vocal and has some pretty good compositions with some experimental stuff thrown in for good measure. He asked me to help out with some guitars/vocals on track 4 (Limbo) and I happily obliged. The result was great, check it out below:

Playthrough Video of "Alive and Dying"

It's been awhile since I've done one of these, so I figured I'd put one together last night before I went to sleep. Can't leave my metalheads hangin!

Tribute to Wayne Static, Dimebag Darrell, and Scott Weiland

posted Dec 14, 2015, 7:32 AM by oneclipleft

Seeing that the deaths of these three great rock and metal artists landed in roughly the same 30-day period, fellow youtuber followfornothing and I decided to record a small tribute to them. Check it out below:

Alt. Rock Video Game Music...What?

posted Dec 7, 2015, 5:19 PM by oneclipleft

I've been hinting at this for a little while, but here is the first taste of the Abby's Song Soundtrack! It's definitely not metal, but it rocks in its own right. Check it out!

All One Word, All Lower Case (oneclipleft vs One Clip Left)

posted Nov 27, 2015, 3:10 PM by oneclipleft

oneclipleft is an odd name, and it carried multiple meanings when I first made it up. These days, its meaning is simpler: it just means I always have one video/audio clip left. However, many of the places I post to or have covered my music tend to get my name wrong (almost always referring to me as One Clip Left). I believe even Machinima.com was guilty of this. I wouldn't care normally, but if you search for One Clip Left you won't find me at all, making this an SEO issue. Otherwise, feel free to format my name which ever way you want. But, if you want people to actually find me, then it must be oneclipleft, all one word, all lowercase. Thanks!

Just got the issue in! I'm insanely excited to be a part of Fear Candy 149 (track 1 even!). There are some amazing tracks on there, so I'm proud to be a part of that group. I believe I still have an album review coming in a future issue, so I'll post an update when that happens. I'm really curious to see what the Terrorizer staff thought of (ab)Useful.

New Non-Metal Music Coming Up!

posted Nov 23, 2015, 11:08 AM by oneclipleft

Since the release of (ab)Useful back in late August, things have been going pretty well. Terrorizer Magazine is publishing a full review as well as including the track "Pawn Kills Rook" on their Fear Candy CD soon, which is easily one of the most exciting things that has ever happened for my music! Aside from all that, though, there is some new music on the horizon. Here's the catch: it ain't metal.

I'm writing a soundtrack for Abby's Song, a video game that I'm making (I wear many hats, you see), and it will be largely alternative and punk rock. But don't let that scare you off. I'm sure I'll be returning to some good ole metal before long. It usually doesn't take long before I start getting antsy about starting a new record. Peace!

Support the OCL Cause for MONEY!

posted Nov 2, 2015, 1:41 PM by oneclipleft

Awhile back I posted about free ways you could help me spread my insane creations across the web (by listening to my music and subscribing/following me at reverbnation, soundcloud, youtube, and twitter). As always, thanks to everyone for the support! However, I would also like cover the great ways that you can send me money, too! Historically, I have released my creative works for free on my youtube channel, but it occurred to me that maybe some people out there would like to take some of their hard earned money and send it to me instead. Well, if you're one of those folks who has too much money laying around, here's some ways you can send it to me in exchange for my creative goods:

CDBaby! (cheapest for you, and gives me the biggest cut!)

iTunes! (for people who like Apple junk!)

Bandcamp! (for people who like Bandcamp!)

Now that I am developing a short video game, music will temporarily take a back seat. I will still have new music coming out for the game's soundtrack, but I won't be formally working on an actual album for awhile. Don't despair, though! I am likely to create a classic oneclipleft style track now and then, and I'll be sure to release it on my youtube channel when I do. Also, I'll still be creating How to Play videos for older songs and other mildly interesting stuff. Peace!
